When you arrive in France, the drive to the Dordogne is about nine or ten hours from Calais and other northern seaports. If you break your journey with a stop over in Paris, your journey will be around five hours driving, depending on the time you travel.
The Dordogne is a big region and if you wish to travel to the south, then allow a little extra for those winding country roads.
For anyone planning to carry on further here's a rough guide :
From the centre of the Dordogne :
Bordeaux - about 3 hours and approx. 190km
Toulouse - about 2.5 hours and approx.160km
Bergerac - about 1.0hr and approx 75km
